Who We Are

Kyle Fisher

Owner, Avid Outdoorsman

Kyle has literally grown up at the Alpine Hut since his dad, Ron, opened the doors in 1975. At age 13 Kyle began his career at Alpine Hut doing everything from waxing skis to bike maintenance and sales.

In 1995 Kyle moved to Salt Lake City where he spent four years working, skiing and mountain biking in the Wasatch Mountains. Kyle has been back at the Alpine Hut since 1999, and purchased the business from his dad in 2005. Kyle has a passion for both the ski and cycling industries and is an expert in custom fitting for boots and bikes.

Kyle and the Alpine Hut support the community by providing mechanical support for several cycling events each year and donating time and money to causes like Team Parkinsons, and local school groups. The Pray for Snow Party at the Red Door is an annual event that Kyle started in 2000, benefiting charities like Outdoors For All.

Kyle is seldom seen without his faithful dog, Malu, who has become a fixture in the shop.

Wes Murchison

Bicycle Technician

Wes grew up in Renton and has been racing bicycles and motorcycles in the dirt since he was ten years old.  He enjoys riding BMX, cross country mountain biking and mountain free riding.

Wes began his career in the cycling industry in 1996. His experience includes custom bike fit, coaching, mechanical instruction and customer service in wholesale and retail environments. He was also the K2 BMX and Inline Skate Team Manager for a season.  During that time he and his crew bought Willy Nelson’s old tour bus and transformed it into the K2 team vehicle, driving it to the X Games and putting on demos around the country.

Wes brought his cycling industry skills to the Alpine Hut in 2009, and now is a great ski tech too!

Jim Finkle

Sales, Buyer

Born and raised in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, he grew up skiing at Butternut Basin from the age of 2. His hometown also offered him access to endless mountain bike trails and a great bike shop. He started out on a BMX and at age 12 graduated to his first mountain bike, making him the first kid in his county to have a front shock!

Jim began his career in the industry on the east coast and became a certified binding tech and “ski tunerator” in 2000.  He moved to North Bend, WA in 2002 with his wife, Linda, and worked at Cyclepath before spending 6 years at a “big box” bike shop where he worked in every department from parts to clothing and eventually served as Sales Manager.

Jim is stoked to be able to put his knowledge to work at the Alpine Hut with an experienced team who shares his customer service vision.

Kevin Klemmt

Sales and Repair

Kevin believes that “if you don’t fall, then you’re not riding hard enough.”

Kevin has been riding bikes and exploring the snowy mountains his entire life. Biking is his main passion. He is knowledgeable in all areas of cycling, but has an expertise in mountain bikes. Riding all the local free ride spots, he loves to fly through the air and push himself to the next level. He is an up-and-coming mechanic and can tackle most any job that is thrown his way.

Kevin grew up in Blaine, WA near the Canadian border and learned to ski at Mount Baker. He is a great skier and can be seen shredding down the hills in his techno colored ski gear. He has learned a lot about the ski industry since working at the Alpine Hut, and is quickly becoming an expert, and can do a pretty good boot fit as well!

Kevin is attending The Art Institute of Seattle for a degree in industrial design.
